Manipulation of a Market Economy

Bottled water is bad for you and the enviorment. Every bottle is made of petroleum based plastics and fossil fuels are wasted transportating mass quantities of water to places not suffering from drought.

Meanwhile, tap water is great for you and everyone else! Most municipalities put fluoride in the publics drinking water to promote healthy teeth. Tap water produces no liter and reaches your home using the natural laws of gravity.

To make up for bottled water’s deficiancies you’d have to craft the bottles from corn based plastics and switch all the trucks carrying those bottles over to clean burning ethenoyl.

I advocate corn oil specifically because the American government already spends millions subsidizing the growth of corn. We grow so much corn we pay some farmers not to grow it. Our land is great for it, it’s a chief export and we use it for everything. A ridiculous amount of crap you ingest already has corn or a corn based product in it. For instance; high fructose corn syrup added to soft drinks or gluten in cereal and bread.

Growing corn employs a lot of people, too. Not just in the heart land but in Washington where organizations lobby to make sure things like gluten allergies aren’t recognized by the FDA. Because, just like bottled water, Corn isn’t nutritious, your body doesn’t even digest corn. It comes out looking the same way it went in.

Besides the health ramifications the U.S. also uses corn as a huge portion of the foriegn aide handed out all over Africa. The huge influx of corn drives down the price of African crops and force African farmers out of business. Our aide supplies dictators and state sponsors of violence with leverage against their own people.

By re-appropriating our use of corn we can greatly increase the effectiveness of world health at home and abroad.
