ZUDA COMICS CROSSOVER EVENT: BLACK CHERRY BOMBSHELLS MEETS SUPERTRON
The Abominable Sheldon Vella Guest Stars on Black Cherry Bombshells for Five Weeks
NEW YORK, NY – DC Entertainment’s digital imprint, ZUDA COMICS is proud to join in the long tradition of comic book crossover events. BLACK CHERRY BOMBSHELLS and SUPERTRON creators reveal their comics exist in a shared universe.
To celebrate the establishment of a Zuda Comics “continuity” Sheldon Vella [SUPERTRON creator] will illustrate five episodes of Black Cherry Bombshells beginning on April 5th, 2010 at www.BlackCherryBombshells.com.
“We’re really excited to finally team up with Shelly. For the longest time we’ve thought of the Bombshells as the prequel to SuperTron,” says Tony Trov [BLACK CHERRY BOMBSHELLS' Co-creator].
“We’ve been dropping hints in both strips for a while. Last year The Bombshells appeared in SuperTron’s dream and recently connections between the King and MOM Bot were discovered.” Johnny Zito [BLACK CHERRY BOMBSHELLS' Co-creator] elaborates.
Black Cherry Bombshells is about ultra-violent girl gangs fighting for survival in a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas where every man is a Zombie. The King, a cross-dressing kung-fu warlord, rules the land with mysterious, evil powers. SuperTron is about a distant future where robots struggle to find their humanity in a world devoid of life. MOM Bot, the first sentient robot, enslaves her mechanical offspring in a meaningless existence.
Sheldon’s stint at guest penciler will connect the Armageddon events between both series and catapult the web comics into their final chapters, beginning this year.

The Black Cherry Bombshells are back.
The Girls are meaner. The Zombies are hungrier. And the King is Eternal!

Black Cherry Bombshells are nominated for a Harvey Award for Best Online Work. There’s a big dinner and award ceremony with a free meal and open bar.
We’re sitting with Sheldon (Supertron) David and Steve (High Moon) and Bobby and Peter (Night Owls) who are also nominees.
To widdle away the hours and make the awards extra fun we came up with THE HARVEY AWARDS DRINKING GAME!
RULES:
Every time a non DC or Zuda comic wins; take a sip.
Every time a DC Comic wins; take a three sips.
Every time a Zuda Comic wins; take a shot.
Every time a winner thanks Stan Lee, Jack Kirby or Will Eisner; take five sips.
Every time Harvey Award Host (and super talented cartoonist/Harvey Nominee) Scott Kurtz plugs his book; pound what’s left of your drink.
If you aren’t going to the Harvey’s, play along at home by following Tony and I on Twitter (twitter.com/JohnnyZito & twitter.com/tonytrov) where we’ll obnoxiously update through out the night. Um, hash tags? #HarveyAwards and #DrinkingGames
Saturday, October 10th. I have no idea what time. Let’s say 8. That feels right.
I expect we’ll make up more rules as we go.

The Whole Black Cherry Bombshells’ team pops into TGT Webcomics’ Podcast.
“There’s something to be said about the apocalypse happening in Las Vegas where only women survive when all the men get infected and become zombies (just like in real life in Vegas)! Enter in gangs from all over Nevada to control the hard liquor trade and subdue / kill their rivals. This is where the mind and art of Johnny Zito & Tony Trov come into play and their Zuda winning comic: The Black Cherry Bombshells!”
